Because today we are going to be talking about whether or not a debt-free life is hurting you.

Here’s the Real Truth

When we’re talking about debt.

There is only one thing that can be taken for truth.

Just one thing that we can guarantee is true above all other things.

That is…

That nobody really knows that they’re talking about.

I mean seriously…

If you go on TikTok nowadays all you’re gonna see is these personal finance “gurus” who are just spouting s***.

But almost nobody knows money. They’re just trying to reel you in to sell you on some BS they are offering.

And I mean I have my own personal system on this, but I ain’t gonna tell that today because that’s wayyy above some people’s heads - we’ll save that for another day.

But I mean at the end of the day, we can’t really blame people for this.

They just aren’t teaching finance in school nowadays. I mean you learn to read and write and do math then that’s it.

Like Wes tells this story of a buddy who is getting an MBA, and he often tells him,

“Man I had no idea this is how this actually worked.”

And it made me realize, how smart people can be smart in one area, but then be totally dumb in another. It SHOCKED me.

The Problem with All These Gurus

At the end of the day, the issues with all the gurus in the personal finance space is that they are selling “Get-rich-quick” schemes. And that just doesn’t exist.

I mean… apart from winning the lottery.

I mean there is one guy in partciular who comes to mind, because he is always belittling Dave Ramsey.

And I don’t know what the guy’s net worth is, but I see he is selling real estate, he’s selling coaching, he’s selling all this kinda stuff.

And I mean I respect that guy’s drive…

But I don’t know if it’s a good idea making money by throwing rocks at other people so violently.

Like maybe you don’t agree with everything Dave Ramsey says, but the guy sure ain’t an idiot.

But anyway… I’m getting off track here.

I think that some time we gotta do an episode on how the banks work, because so many people don’t fully understand that.

Would you guys want to see that?

Because that is one deep rabbit hole that we can go down.

But anyway…

We will leave that for another day.
