Here’s Why I’m Always Motivated
In my eyes, business is a competition.
There are winners and there are losers. It’s savage.
That’s just the way it goes.
And lemme tell ya, I’ve been poor and I’ve been rich, and I’m never gonna let myself get poor again.
Even if I gotta set up a garage sale and get rid of absolutely everything that i got, I don’t care, I’ll do it.
Like remember in that movie, The Martian, where the guy eats potatoes all the time?
I know that pain, because I was like that once, when I didn’t have enough money to eat anything other than potatoes and mustard.
Yup… I didn’t even have ketchup.
So thanks to that, motivation has never really been an issue for me in business. ‘Cos ya’know… any time I start to feel kinda lazy or don’t feel motivated, I’m just gonna remember that, and I’ll get to work straight away.
But with other things… it wasn’t so easy.
My Unusual Way of Getting Motivated to Go to the Gym
So when it comes to being healthy and going to the gym… it’s very simple for me.
I know that the hardest part is getting in the car and driving to the gym. Always.
Once I can get there, I’m good. I know I’m always gonna get out and get into the gym.
So I decided to make it my number one goal: to get in the car and drive to the gym.
I didn’t think about anything I was gonna do when I got there, but I just wanted to get in the car and go. That was it.
And it’s been around 2 years now since I started working out, and now I just love it. But it wasn’t always like that.
Now I’m able to go around 5 times a week, and it’s not hard now, either.
My Advice to Anyone
I’ve got one piece of advice to anyone who wants to feel motivated.
Just one, and this has helped me in all areas of my life:
At the end of the day, motivation comes in baby steps.
So you gotta take it one step at a time.
That’s the exact reason why I would focus on driving to the gym rather than working out, because once I did that, I knew the workout would follow.
And I think that has served me pretty well in my life.
