Episode 43: Is the American Dream Dead?
Hello everybody and welcome, welcome, welcome to yet another episode of Kosmo Unfiltered.
Once again, it’s me, Kosmo, and as usual, I’m joined by my man Wes.
And oh boy, is today gonna be a good episode…
Today we’re gonna ruffle some feathers…
Because today… we’re talking about…
Is the American Dream Still Alive?
So let’s get into it!
But before we do, if you like the episode please make sure to drop us a like, comment and subscribe, and if you really like the episode, why not share it with a friend?
After all, we don’t run ads or any placements or any of that garbage…
So let’s do this!
It’s Only Alive When You Aren’t Afraid to Do This
See, all over this country…
And all over the world, actually.
There are people who are tryna bring you down.
All the time.
So if you actually pay any attention whatsoever to that kinda stuff…
It just ain’t gonna work out for ya. Because if you ain’t believing in yourself, nobody else gonna do it for ya.
That’s the honest to God truth.
I mean you are just gonna have a bunch of haters, a bunch of people trying to drag you down to their level and all that sorta bad stuff.
All of that stuff just makes your job 100x harder.
But we’ll come back to that in a second…
Or This Either…
I’m not gonna sugar coat this one:
You gotta be ready to fail.
You gotta be so damn ready to fail that you are ready to bounce back from it before it even hits you.
That’s how ready you gotta be.
I mean if you can’t handle some kind of failure… then maybe just head to the local job center. It’ll save you a lot of time.
And I mean you gotta get ready to get punched in the face… kicked in the groins… chewed up and then get your sorry ass spat out onto the ground again.
I heard a great story on this recently.
So Albert Einstein was giving a lecture at a college before.
And he walked into the room. He didn’t say anything.
He paced himself towards the chalkboard and began to write:
9 x 1 = 9 …
9 x 2 = 18 …
9 x 3 = 27 …
And so forth all the way until…
9 x 9 = 81 …
9 x 10 = 89 …
And the whole class started going crazy.
He looked around and took a deep breath.
And said something along the lines of…
“Isn’t it strange how none of you said anything about the fact that 90% of my calculations were correct. You only pointed out the one that was incorrect…
That is how our society works”.
And man… that hit me hard.
But that’s exactly how it is, you always gotta be ready not just to fail… but to bounce up again IMMEDIATELY.
Oh… Here’s One More Thing
Well basically… to sum this one up… you better stay the hell out of politics.
That's the way it is.
‘Cos no matter which news station you put on… you’re always gonna get some freakin’ nutjob trying to infiltrate your mind with some kind of nonsense garbage.
No matter which one, too.
Like at the end of the day: bullsh*t sells.
That’s why 90% of the time if you turn on the news, you’re gonna get some kind of fear-mongering-holy-sh*t-the-world-is-about-to-end kinda nonsense.
You get all that garbage then one really feel-good story at the end just to make things sound better.
Because that’s the stuff that sells.
The Last Thing…
OKay so wayyyy to often in our lives, we take advice from people who haven’t done s***.
And we use their word as gospel.
Why the hell do we do that?
If you wanna live the American dream, which I think everyone should, by the way, then you should be listening and taking advice from people who have actually done stuff before.
Way too many people will just wake up, go to work, be miserable then come home and try to spew some nonsense into your mind.
And you gotta take control there.
And I spoke about this in the last episode, how you always gotta surround yourself with the right people.
But at the end of the day, it’s too true, man.
Too true.
