Episode 37: Living For The Weekend Is Ruining Your Life
Hello, hello, hello, ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to yet another episode of Kosmo Unfiltered…
As per usual, I’m joined by my man, Wes, and today is gonna be a great episode.
We are talking about the days of the week, why they don’t exist… and the REAL cost of just living for the weekend.
But before we jump in… remember, we don’t run ads or sponsors on this podcast, all we ask is that if you like it, share it with a friend and drop us a like or a comment down below if you can.
So without further ado, let’s jump right into this!
This Is No Way To Live…
OK - I’m being serious here.
WARNING:
I’m about to be a hypocrite for a second here.
Because listen to this:
Years ago, I used to puke every single Sunday, just at the thought of having to go to work on a Monday.
Literally every Sunday!
Like that is no way to live your life.
No way at all.
I mean, you got to quit living for Friday.
Think about it this way:
If you only live for a Friday and a Saturday… you’re throwing away 5/7ths of your life. And besides…
If you’re using those days to get black-out drunk in some bar… you’re making all your Sundays x100 harder… so you’re losing another day, basically.
… And don’t even get me started on the money you’d be wasting - but that’s for another episode.
The Only Day That Matters
In the end, the only day that actually matters is today.
Because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.
And you can’t change yesterday.
In fact, I would take it even further and say that the only time that really matters isn’t even ‘today’... it’s just ‘now.’
Because even the rest of your day isn’t guaranteed.
Getting Priorities Right
I mean, you should think to yourself…
“If I were to leave this earth in the next 5 minutes, what would matter to me?”.
I doubt it would be whatever plans you might have on Friday or Saturday night.
And this made me think…
If something won’t matter to you in a year from now… does it really matter at all?
I mean, especially when you’re in an argument with someone.
Like can you remember any of the arguments you had this time last year?
‘Cos I sure as hell can’t.
