Once again… unsurprisingly, I am joined by my man Wes…

And both of us want to wish you a very happy Father’s Day from wherever you’re reading in the world!

Today’s post is super special… why?

Well, I mean, it’s already had the best possible start…

Because Wes has just announced himself and his partner are expecting another child!

Why Treat Yourself…

Now, why would we treat ourselves on Father’s Day?

Well, here’s why. I’ve got some reasons why you should do it:

- To take some time to rest and recharge

- Take time to reflect

- Take some time to be grateful

Here are some of the best reasons why you should take some time to treat yourself.

But it’s not easy! Contrary to what most people will say, it’s actually pretty hard to be able to treat yourself.

Like for me, I struggle, especially with the last one there.

I literally have to plan out a reminder on my phone to remind myself to be grateful for things.

Even still, I have to get super specific on what it is that I want to be grateful for.

And it still makes me feel cheesy.

Yes, it builds me up, you know?

But I learned this lesson the hard way, ladies and gentlemen.

The True Cost of Not Taking Care of Yourself

It may be a little bit harsh, but it can be devastating if you don’t take proper care of yourself.

I mean, you know when you’re on an airplane, and they always tell you to make sure that your mask is on first before everybody else's?

Because if you don’t have your mask on, then you are totally useless to anyone else who is trying to get theirs on!

So when it comes to taking care of yourself in everyday life, things work out precisely the same. 

I mean, people never fully realize this. It will set in so fast that you won’t even know what will happen to you.

Here, lemme run through this list of ones that I think are super important.

Oh, and also, if there’s something that you think I should add to this, then drop a comment. I’d love to hear from you!

- Take time alone (This one is especially hard)

- Meditate 

- Vacations

- Regular massages (I’m a little edgy on this one, too - I’ve a funny story on the episode).

- Working out

Some of this stuff will cost, but some of them are free. Some may take up your afternoon. Others, like meditation or yoga, are only around 15 minutes a day.
